HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
The Technical Sales Specialist is a remote, field-based role and is responsible for identifying and engaging with potential customers to position and sell the contract manufacturing services and products that Launchworks CDMO provides to the molecular diagnostic, companion diagnostic, and the 510K diagnostic markets.
The salary range estimated for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience. Incentive program based on individual performance.

  • Location: This is a remote position that requires the applicant to reside on either the East Coast or Texas.
  • Prospect, identify, and qualify opportunities to close sales in the given geographical region.
  • Meet the annual and quarterly orders and/or sales budget for defined territory and product line.
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable projects, business and sustainable relationships.
  • Grow market share in contract manufacturing services in the life science area.
  • Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals, including quoting and bookings - especially managing personal time and productivity.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports, information and recommendations for action.
  • Attend external customer meetings including trade shows and conferences to develop new sales opportunities.
  • Maintains records of leads, opportunities, sales, and customer information in Hubspot (CRM).
  • Monthly reporting of Orders, Sales, Quote, Sales Funnel and New Buying Account results.
  • The expected time in the field visiting clients is 50-75% with overnight travel.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences.
  • Working knowledge of molecular diagnostic and biotech industries.
  • Prior sales in Life Sciences is a plus. Sales experience is not required; however, you should be able to demonstrate commercial drive with sales aptitude.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with CRM systems – Preferably HubSpot
  • Understanding of cGMP’s and ISO 13485 requirements is a plus
